Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population said during a regular press conference on Thursday, Vikas Devkota said that coronavirus infection has occurred in sixth person in Nepal.
According to a test conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Teku, Kathmandu, sixth person was found to have Covid-19 positive.
Devkota said, "Coronavirus infection was seen in another person who came on a QR 652 flight from Doha on Chaitra 4 to Kathmandu. The two had already been seen infecting the flight."
"The work behind Covid-19 Positive has been started by physicians and our technicians. More details are yet to come."
Treatment
According to the authorities, five of the cases of Covid-19 infection seen in Nepal earlier have been linked to the returning Nepalese.In Nepal, Covid-19 has been tested in 1,184 people so far. Of those, 1178 were not infected and five are being treated with isolation.
The first infection was seen in Nepali returning from Wuhan and according to authorities he has returned home after treatment.
The second infection was seen in a 19-year-old student who came to Nepal from Qatar Airways and used to study in France.
Officials said the search had been carried out for all 158 Nepalese traveling with him.
The third infected person was a male from the Gulf country, and the fourth person was reported to have arrived in Nepal on March 20 from the UK via Dubai via Vista Extra Air from Delhi.
He is being treated at Dhangadhi, officials said. The fifth Nepalese woman to be seen infected who came from Belgium through Qatar.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Health said at a press conference on Thursday that three of the three in QR 652 ship were infected.
